THIS MESSAGE TO KEVIN IS THE MOST I'VE CONTEXTUALIZED THIS ... COLLECTION
Ok, cool. The dude was a really talented illustrator. And hilarious. A large body of his work was bequeathed to me. It's is all about connections through Mount Carmel. He has a sophisticated illustrative style ... and his humor was very subversive. Capturing the mid-’60s South Side ethos ... the kind that influenced the likes of Disco Demolition hosted by WLUP.... Howie Fagan is illustrated many, many times.... as a basketball recruiter who converted local talent into Catholics... Would you be interested in seeing some of the man's work and ... maybe give me some feedback... (I don't think the Carmel Alumni committee would throw its arms open. But i think the Chicago Historical Society would find it valuable... Hope yer good.)
